"Passion fruit calories", "persimmon calories", "quince calories" and "rhubarb calories" are searched in India, and no NYUS guide answers them. This guide gives ten USDA FoodData Central SR Legacy records, per 100 g and in the portions USDA's Measures list prints: purple passion fruit and its two juices, Japanese and native persimmon (raw and dried), quince, and rhubarb raw, frozen and cooked with sugar. IFCT 2017, the Indian Food Composition Tables from ICMR-NIN, has none of these four fruits, so this page uses SR Legacy only. Dragon fruit is searched more than most of them, but SR Legacy has no dragon fruit record, so it is not here. More fruit is in our cut fruit by the cup guide, fruit juice by the glass guide and calories per fruit guide.

The short answer

By USDA SR Legacy, raw native persimmon (169943) is 127 kcal per 100 g, purple passion fruit (169108) 97 kcal, raw Japanese persimmon (169941) 70 kcal, raw quince (168163) 57 kcal and raw rhubarb (167758) 21 kcal. Our reading: persimmon is two records that differ a lot, so the name alone does not give one number; dried Japanese persimmon is 274 kcal per 100 g against 70 raw, mostly water (23 g against 80.3 g); passion fruit prints the most fibre of the raw rows that print it (10.4 g); and rhubarb cooked with sugar (168169) is 116 kcal against 21 raw, with total sugars 28.7 g against 1.1 g.

USDA SR Legacy: per 100 g

Figures are as the USDA record pages print them, read on 29 October 2026. Energy is USDA's kcal with the kJ it prints beside it; water, protein, total fat and carbohydrate (by difference) are in g, then fibre (g), total sugars (g) and sodium (mg), all per 100 g. "Not printed" means the record has no such row, not that the value is zero. These are US records on US samples, not Indian averages.

The data-type label on each field, as the record shows it

USDA's record pages show a data-type label beside some fields and none beside others. This table copies what each record shows; "no label shown" means the record prints no label there, not that we left one out. We do not interpret the labels beyond printing them.

The household portions USDA prints

These are the entries in each record's Measures list, as printed; the other entry on every record is 100 g. The kcal in the last column is ours: the printed kcal per 100 g times the grams, divided by 100, shown to 0.1 with half rounding up. "Without refuse" is USDA's wording for the edible part of the fruit.

The portion sums: 169108 1 fruit without refuse (18 g): 97 × 18 / 100 = 17.46, so 17.5 kcal; 169108 1 cup (236 g): 97 × 236 / 100 = 228.92, so 228.9 kcal; 169109 1 fl oz (30.9 g): 51 × 30.9 / 100 = 15.76, so 15.8 kcal; 169109 1 cup (247 g): 51 × 247 / 100 = 125.97, so 126.0 kcal; 169110 1 cup (247 g): 60 × 247 / 100 = 148.20, so 148.2 kcal; 169110 1 fl oz (30.9 g): 60 × 30.9 / 100 = 18.54, so 18.5 kcal; 169941 1 fruit (2-1/2" dia) (168 g): 70 × 168 / 100 = 117.60, so 117.6 kcal; 169943 1 fruit without refuse (25 g): 127 × 25 / 100 = 31.75, so 31.8 kcal; 169942 1 fruit without refuse (34 g): 274 × 34 / 100 = 93.16, so 93.2 kcal; 168163 1 fruit without refuse (92 g): 57 × 92 / 100 = 52.44, so 52.4 kcal; 167758 1 stalk (51 g): 21 × 51 / 100 = 10.71, so 10.7 kcal; 167758 1 cup, diced (122 g): 21 × 122 / 100 = 25.62, so 25.6 kcal; 168168 1 cup, diced (137 g): 21 × 137 / 100 = 28.77, so 28.8 kcal; 168169 1 cup (240 g): 116 × 240 / 100 = 278.40, so 278.4 kcal.

USDA labels its total sugars Analytical. Its Measures list has 1 fruit (2-1/2" dia) (168 g), 117.6 kcal by our arithmetic. Native persimmon (169943) is a separate record: 127 kcal per 100 g, printed with no fibre or total sugars row; its 1 fruit without refuse (25 g) is 31.8 kcal by our arithmetic. We do not say which record matches the persimmon sold near you.

How many calories are in quince?

SR Legacy 168163 (Quinces, raw) prints 57 kcal (238 kJ) per 100 g, with 0.4 g protein, 0.1 g fat, 15.3 g carbohydrate by difference, 1.9 g fibre; its Measures list has 1 fruit without refuse (92 g), 52.4 kcal by our arithmetic. The record prints no total sugars row.

How many calories are in rhubarb?

Raw rhubarb (167758) is 21 kcal per 100 g and frozen uncooked rhubarb (168168) 21 kcal. Frozen rhubarb cooked with sugar (168169) is 116 kcal per 100 g, with total sugars 28.7 g against 1.1 g in raw; USDA's record name says with sugar, and we do not say how much was added. How many calories are in raw fruit per 100 g on this page, and what about dried persimmon?

By USDA SR Legacy, raw native persimmon (169943) is 127 kcal per 100 g, purple passion fruit (169108) 97 kcal, raw Japanese persimmon (169941) 70 kcal, raw quince (168163) 57 kcal and raw rhubarb (167758) 21 kcal. Dried Japanese persimmon (169942) is 274 kcal per 100 g: the difference from raw (70 kcal) is mostly water, 23 g per 100 g against 80.3 g. The kcal on every record is labelled Calculated by USDA. These are US records on US samples.

What about dragon fruit, and does IFCT 2017 have these fruits?

USDA has no SR Legacy record for dragon fruit (pitaya): searches for "dragon" and "pitaya" return 0 results, so this page gives no dragon fruit figure. IFCT 2017, the Indian Food Composition Tables from ICMR-NIN, has no passion fruit, persimmon, quince or rhubarb row (we searched its PDF text for those names and their botanical names), so this page uses SR Legacy only.

What do Calculated and Analytical mean on these records?

USDA's records show a data-type label beside some fields and none beside others. On all ten records the kcal and carbohydrate by difference are labelled Calculated and kJ has no label; total sugars carries its own label where a row exists (for example Analytical on raw Japanese persimmon); water, protein, fat, fibre and sodium show no label. The page prints each label exactly as the record shows it. Household portions are USDA's Measures list; the kcal for a portion is our arithmetic (printed kcal per 100 g times the grams, divided by 100, to 0.1).
